My Sister Moved to Florida

The past few weeks have gone by in a blur, making sure everything is in order and then the dreaded moving process. We’ve been spending time going to all our favorite hangouts and ice cream shops, having a big family dinner on Sunday to celebrate a birthday and this great adventure. All leading up to this moment, today, when my sister will pack up her car and drive off to a new opportunity in Florida.

Before I get too dramatic (too late?), let me just say that this is only temporary. My sister will be back. When? Well, that’s up to her and how amazing this opportunity ends up being. I would love for her to travel for awhile, take in new places and get to do all the things she’s only dreamed about until now. I’d love to see her stay away long enough to build a strong foundation so that when she does come home, she knows exactly what she wants and she can have it.

It is this hope that allowed me to let her go. Lol. Let’s be real, I’m selfishly thinking of how much I’m going to miss all the time we spend together, fearing that I’ll now be incredibly bored without her. We spend a ridiculous amount of time together and it always ends up a great time, even if we’re just running errands. We may not have always been this close, but it’s safe to say that my sister has become my very best friend.

So, for the next few months while she’s roasting in Florida (ha, ha!), I will probably be spending more time here, complaining about how bored and lonely I am. 😉 Or at the very least I’ll start blogging about all our favorite places and make her insanely jealous because that’s just the nice sister that I am!

I’m going to end this with a message to my seester because, let’s be honest; she’s the only one reading this. 😉

Seeeester! I miss you already! :( I know you only just started your drive down and it’ll be a miracle if all four of you make it in one piece, but I miss you! Don’t be sad, though, and don’t be scared! This is a great opportunity for you and I’m so proud of my big sister! You will be fine, you will be great! Everyone down there will love you, because how could they not?? You’re the nicest, most compassionate person I know, and you’re great at what you do. I’ll be here the whole time, cheering you on, just a phone call/text/snapchat away! :)
